What can go wrong with a story with such a pun in the title? Nothing, I tell you!

It’s a delightful mystery. And I’m not saying this because I’ve heard the previous two John Pickett mysteries and by now am a fan. This story is a sort of Agatha Christie big-house Poirot mystery set in Regency England. There’s a satisfying slow-burn romance on top of that…and an interesting prophecy… (done from Tarot cards, which always pleases me, since I’ve some skill in that) The two main characters felt like my old friends since the previous novel, and now I’m the faithful companion on their fun journey full of dead bores 🙂

I can’t stress enough how nice it is to listen to Joel Froomkin narrating, but then – don’t trust me, I’m a fan! Go give him a listen and find out for yourself 🙂

My heartfelt thanks to the author, narrator, or publisher for providing me this audiobook via Audiobook Boom at no cost in exchange for my unbiased review.
