- Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
- Not really. No character background, no world building. Just thrown in the path of a “great” bounty hunter who really really isn’t. No investment in the main character at all. We learn more about his first “love” interest in the first part of the book than about him.
Narration was ok, sped it up to 1.25x speed. He has a pleasant voice but read overemphasizing way too much and made you feel he either hadn’t read it himself or he just didn’t quite understand tonal inflection.
- What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
- Did Roak inspire you to do anything?
