This entry was overly complex with the Iron Tangle, the portals, the Abyss etc. I appreciated all of the character development that happened in The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook. That was probably the most compelling piece of the story. Learning more about our main duo, now trio (Katia you’ve earned your place in the Royal Court of Princess Donut) and expanding to learn more about the other crawlers and their powers is was kept me moving through this one. I’m hoping for a return to what book one was in the next book. More achievement notifications, they’re hilarious. The bigger storyline about the producers getting heavily involved, controlling the narrative of how the audience perceives the crawlers is compelling and I am ready to see where it goes, but it’s definitely getting harder to keep all of these subplots together.
