What did you love best about Pretty Little Things?
This story was unique in its plot, and had a great buildup. It reveals things in small increments from the past, and it goes from not making much sense to slowly making you understand. It’s a different way of storytelling, and while I was unsure at first, I ended up loving the way it flowed.
What did you like best about this story?
The two main characters Colin and Annie have a strange relationship in the beginning, but as the story unfolds you understand their relationship way more.
What three words best describe Sarah Puckett’s performance?
Okay, monotone, read. While the narration wasn’t horrible, it wasn’t really great either. It was just eh, okay. I felt like it was being read to me more than being performed, and this book would have been better for me exsperiance wise had it been more performed. I think I would have been more okay with narration, had there been a change of voice between the alternate POV’s, that could be deferential in identifying who was speaking.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. It wasn’t very long and was intriguing enough to keep you on the hook.
Any additional comments?
Overall I enjoyed the plot, the story, and the characters. Think I would have enjoyed it better had I read this rather than listening to it, because I feel that the narration didn’t do the storyline justice in this instance, though it wasn’t horrible. I would recommend listening to a sample before hand to make sure that the narration won’t put you off, like it did me. I was given this audiobook for free from audiobook boom for my unbiased review.
