I often rate books lower than other people who write reviews. There are a lot of LitRPG books out there and nine out of ten aren’t worth reading. This is an exception. It’s quite good.
The characters all have their own motivation and distinct personalities. The RPG elements are occasionally confusing, but always clever. The world is occasionally confusing, but I’m sure this is something to get fleshed out further down the road. The final chapter covering every stat of every card wasn’t something I listened all the way through, but I was curious about a few cards, so I appreciate the section.
The voice acting is above average, but an additional actress to accompany would have helped.
