I feel like idea behind this was excellent. The plot was interesting and somewhat original. Unfortunately the writing was…something. Some parts were decent, but the rest was very difficult to get through. I think part of it was the narration. The main character’s narrator was okay, but the tones and inflection used made it feel more like a young-adult coming-of-age book.
It was excruciatingly tough to get through but, again, the overall plot was pretty interesting. I definitely would not have made it through this the book otherwise.
