Dungeon Crawler Carl starts a little slowly, but it doesn’t take long before the story becomes completely addictive. Once the action picks up, the combination of absurd situations, intense danger, and genuinely hilarious dialogue makes it difficult to stop listening.

The narration is one of the audiobook’s greatest strengths. The narrator’s ability to move between distinct voices is incredibly impressive, and each character sounds so different that it’s easy to forget one person is performing all of them. The author’s vivid and creative descriptions also pull you directly into the bizarre world of the story, making every dungeon level, creature, and chaotic encounter feel real.

It’s action-packed, imaginative, surprisingly engaging, and consistently funny. What begins as an unusual premise quickly turns into an amazing listening experience. I’m definitely ready for the next book.
