January 2025 – Audiobook Addition to Review
I read this story last year when I was catching up on the Fighting series so I could go through the kids’ stories in their trilogy. I enjoyed all the different POVs in this story and the narrators did them justice and made me smile, laugh, shake my head, and get all steamy haha. I also got teary eyed with happiness with the Marco and Ryan moments, I loved it when reading it but the way the narrators performed and approached things elevated the story. The funny moments with a couple almost getting caught doing the dirty (and someone hiding some unmentionables hahaha), the tension you could cut with a knife between Bella and Marco, the gift giving fiasco….again the audio helped create these scenarios in my minds eye as I am listening. It was so easy to imagine them and the interactions. Great job all around, still my favorite book in the whole series (first gen and send gen) <3

This was one of my favorite like extended epilogues I have read, it isn’t just checking in, it gives a plot and adds more dimension to this universe and setting up the next generation so well.
The antics the various couples get up to made me smile and laugh for the majority of this book. I loved getting little snippets, the author did an amazing job keep their personalities and chemistry just as good as they were in their original stories/books. The present debacle for Liz and Coop was hilarious and now I have been telling myself not to swerve with an animal in the road now that the deer are out in force (and foxes keep trying to come out in front of my car too haha). Lord the spice for the different couples, not too much/overdone. Mason catching on/knowing what happened was hilarious haha. Seeing Marco help with Ryan and that made me cry so hard of happiness. The way I could hear his voice in my head with his kid voice and speech and how Kayla and Bentley reacted. So much happiness, loved every second of it.
The author does a great job with setting up Bella, Marco, Mason, and Tristan for their own love stories. We have so many questions with Bella and Marco. I was sad Tristan and Bella won’t be a couple but it will make sense in their books. I was frustrated with the back and forth (more to come in their book haha) but we have to trust the author, she knows what she is doing! Mason is becoming one of my favorites (esp in his own book!).
Definitely recommend Book 5, it was holiday but not like over the top with Christmas. It was tastefully done, made me want the holidays even though its going to be really hard as its the first one without my dad this year. I was excited while reading trying to figure who would get their POV next. It was fun, happy, sexy, and some good plot bunnies started. 5/5 for me!
