the first time I read this book I really hated Katia left at the end of the book. I figured if Dinniman didn’t want a love story could have just kept the team together and explore these ideas. I felt it was a weak way to do it. Now on the reread of the series I still think its a waste but I wonder if Dinniman thought or was told the cat was starting to lose time on the page.
I can understand that and i do think the cat gets more time but still think he didn’t need to go the way he did but its his world and I love reading it
