I came in with high expectations and perhaps that’s why I didn’t enjoy it as much as I had hoped.
Overall it was a somewhat fun listen, and I can see why others enjoyed this so much. However the humor was not my cup of tea, I honestly cringed at most every attempt of humor. Then again humor is subjective.
The voice actor did a good job all in all, particularly with Princess Donut. I absolutely hated Carl’s voice.
I’m not what I’d consider a book snob, however the writing gave me young adult vibes with curse words sprinkled in to let you know it’s an adult book.
I don’t know if I’ll continue the series.
