I really enjoyed this story. Miami is a smart assed investigator that reminded me a lot of the Virgil Flowers series. I love it when I get a bit of humor throughout a great mystery and a small dose of romance. Its the kind of book I like after finishing something deep that gets you in the feels and nothing else could compare. This is light, fun and a great diversion from the commute. The narrator was very good. The difference between characters was subtle but clear. I recently finished Bad monkey and this reminded me a bit of that too. The great disappointment of that was in the narration. The readers voice didn’t match the main character and I couldn’t connect with it. That was not the case with Paul Heitsch . His reading was spot on and a great story was given the extra dimension that makes an audio book jump off the page.
