I started with Horton’s “Borrowed World” Series and picked up the “Mad Mick”series with the 1st book 2018 release when Mad Mic came up in Borrowed World. From there, I read them in date order. That wasn’t really necessary because the author managed to separate them well, never giving anything away between the two series. I have to admit, I like the borrowed world series more than the mad Mick series. Not sure this is the end of the Mad Mic books, I can see new challenges for Mick, Trying to relocate his new compound and clean up a new valley. At this point April 2026, I think there’s room for more villains and more greedy politicians in both series. In the real world, it would take many years to rebuild and clean out the riffraff as well as baddies trying to capitalize or set up a radical government. This book sounded like it was the end for the mad Mic, I hope not.
