In reading the litrpg genre wether I like a story or not I always get the sense that it’s being written by someone that really loves gaming. This is the first time that it’s seemed like it’s being written by someone who dislikes it but does it anyway and treats it like a job they hate, groaning at every new task. I guess, it is a job in this book so maybe that’s on purpose. Unfortunately if the world is bare bones and boring and we barely get to see it because the MC is doing his best to speed his way through and get it over with because he’s miserable…it’s not going to hold my interest. Good narrator from what I could tell though so extra star for that.
