If you’re thinking of reading this book because you read Dungeon Crawler Carl and want more of the same, this isn’t that. The story is good and comes together in the second half, but it didn’t pull me in the same way that series did.
That being said it still has a large variety of fun and entertaining characters. I just kept feeling like they were saving something for the sequel though. There’s some lore baked in there and the story is good, but the payoff on some of the early seeds didn’t feel as impactful. GREAT ENDING THOUGH!
