“I was provided this free review copy audiobook by the author.” This review is for the audiobook version of What’s Left of My World: A Story of a Family’s Survival by C.A. Rudolph and narrated by Kevin Pierce. First off, Kevin Pierce is one of my favorite narrators. Therefore the book started out with very high hopes that it would be good. Second, EOTWAWKI stories are my most favorite genre so it was also with some apprehension and trepidation that this would be a good EOTWAWKI story. My hopes came true and my apprehension and trepidation were for naught. This was one of the best stories I have heard in a while. The character development was solid, the story line tracked true throughout the story, and, while it obviously can continue on, it did not leave me with a cliff hanger ending and frustrated with not having closure for the book. I had some problems with some of the actions of the characters in the story but then I realized that what was being described could very well happen in real life. Some people would be more prepared on how to act and react in an EOTWAWKI scenario. With that in mind I was able to enjoy the book and continue on. The perspective jumps around from person to person but I enjoy that style of storytelling so I good with that. And, it was done in a way that was not confusing. I was able to track with it through the entire story. I highly recommend this author and narrator. I highly recommend this book and cannot wait for more in this series or anything else the writer comes up with.
