I just finished the entire Nuclear Winter series by Bobby Akart and really enjoyed it. What I liked most was how realistic it felt. The story focuses on regular people and families trying to make smart decisions and survive, not over-the-top action. It actually makes you think about how something like this would affect everyday life.
The narrator, Kevin Pierce, is one of my favorites and did an excellent job with the whole series. His voice really fits this type of story and made it easy to listen to for hours at a time.
If you like survival or post-apocalyptic books, I highly recommend the series.
