I listened to Hot Air written by Denise Kahn. I felt the story was very good but did need editing and perhaps proofreading. While Denise tells a great story, there were a few places that were repetitive and inconsequential. Beyond that I liked the heart of the story.
With this type book I think I would go with a professional narrator. There are many instances when I love that the author reads their own book but this wasn’t one of them. The audio sounded tinny.
This isn’t the first audiobook I’ve listened to by Denise Kahn and I know she can write. I hope to hear more from her in the future. I never give up on a good author.
