True crime meets dark comedy. I downed this book so quickly, I really couldn’t put it down, as cliché as that sounds. Laura’s characters all felt real and sympathetic in their own ways—their first-hand telling of events in real-time was flawless and incredibly engaging. Also hilarious. I love the dialogue and the funny details like the cat influencer “Fluff.” I enjoyed how ridiculous some of the characters were like Faye’s “number one fan.” Faye and Jade were my favorites, watching their relationship evolve was actually quite moving. I will be sharing this book with friends and rereading it in the near future, it was over too soon.
