I immersion read the physical book with the audiobook through Audible (I loved the end message on the audiobook – “Congratulations! You have finished a book!”). Overall, I thought the audiobook narrator, Jeff Hays, did a fantastic job. There were a few spots where he did not do Princess Donut’s voice even though it was clear she was speaking, but I thoroughly enjoyed how fun this book was!
With the physical book, I loved seeing some of the creatures at the top of chapter headings. It really helped me envision the mobs they were up against. I thought that Matt Dinniman wrote this video game-esque story so well and I think lit RPG might be my new obsession. I’m so excited to continue on with Carl’s Doomsday Scenario!
