I do recommend with a couple caveats

I love Kevin Pierce and there are some differences with this story from the others of this genre.

However…. The preachy stuff with the AI is nauseating. The side character Jareth makes no sense and takes up 1/2 a book. I don’t get that at all.

Lots of back and forth between locations and characters. And over the course of the series. There are so many side characters that it is easy to lose track of all of them. Very confusing.

That said. I do recommend. It is gory but it fits the story.
