It is indeed a very cozy story, which I’m glad for, considering the books I listened to just before this one, and the books that will be coming out soon. I’m absolutely going to keep listening to this series when more comes out. It’s genuinely just relaxing while still being entertaining and having enough action to keep from getting boring.
BUT!!!, I am not a fan of soundbooth, as I have come to learn. The insistence on making things sound as real or convincing as possible goes too far. I do appreciate the amount of effort they put into this, but seriously, I DONT WANT TO HEAR YOUR NARRATORS TALKING LIKE THEIR MOUTH IS FULL. They do a fantastic job everywhere else, but that is not only disgusting, it’s genuinely stupid.
Other than that, I personally don’t have any issues with any of the narration or story. I will be getting more of this series if we get more, but I most likely will not be getting anything else from soundbooth.
