I really wanted to like this book, but just couldn’t engage with it. The story proceeds in fits and starts with frequent changes in the POV that don’t add anything or make much sense. Maybe if I’d read the book/series before the audiobook it would be better, but starting with this title was more frustrating than anything else. There are too many characters that are presented without any established connection to the plot that you just have to accept as important. As to the narrator, they did a good job but I’m convinced they said one of the characters was named ‘Whore’ and can’t bring myself to buy the print version to confirm
