Followed the author from his Dungeon Crawler Karl series, hoping to have a new favorite author. Did not get that. Did get a novel premise, but found the characters pretty lackluster. There’s a whole crew, but none of them stood out. The sister was almost worth reading but most of the characterization was cliche or flat.
Didn’t hate the action, and enjoyed the climax. Willing to give it another shot later, but overall can’t recommend if you liked Karl and crew and came for the reasons I did
