I had been “avoiding” this book for a year now. I imagined reading/listening to one person write letters would be rather dull – how wrong I was. It is a tapestry of depth, the connections with the people around the correspondent. There are times she is prickly and self serving, arrogant but then there is a side to her that is beautifully human. The characters in the story feel real as if you are reading a true story! The narrators were extraordinary, brilliant story and brilliant narration.
