When I first started listening to this I found it so tedious that I was planning to send it back. I was not drawn to this tight assed old lady complaining about life/her people, not connecting with anyone. The app wouldn’t let me return it yet, so I tried again, while driving. In short order I was hooked.
It’s a fascinating concept. I was not expecting to be drawn in but it had me. I loved the complexity of the characters and their connections; tender, sweet, melancholy.
The voices were excellent.
Being an old lady myself, I was drawn in by all the relationships (longtime and brand new) and the richness they brought to life. It was lovely.
