This book has the same strengths and weaknesses as teh first book in the series: interesting game rules, a decent story, and very weak writing.
The author doesn’t do people believably … in any way. They don’t react believably, they don’t speak believably, and they don’t have believable consequences for their actions.
I will note that the production of this volume is less obtrusive than the first book in the series.
So, this book falls into that uncomfortable place where it’s not bad enough to drop or good enough to recommend.
