This book along with the last is honestly just okay. The story at times seems overly complicated and over the top that you just don’t care as much over the events. This pertains especially to the mount of violence and gore that happens. The author at this point is trying to find ways to shock us more and more, but it’s really just causing me to be bored with it. Then there is the jokes. Seriously the penis jokes are getting old. I think Matt has pretty much tapped himself out humor wise.

The narration was also not as good as it’s been in the past. Jeff Hays himself said that he was having to hurry and finish due to other obligations. This shows in his narration, especially with one character where the voice is not the same as in previous books. Whom ever was in charge of editing also made the pauses between chapters extremely long, to the point I had to check to make sure it was still playing.

All in all this book was as the title stated, just okay. This is disappointing as I am a big fan of the book, but I won’t give something a 5 star review if it does not deserve it.
