Angie Hickman is a terrific narrator and does an excellent job keeping voices consistent throughout the series. My problem was with main character Vanessa who was controlling and far less insightful than the author attempted to portray. At one point she diagnoses her love interest like she’s a qualified psychiatrist rather than an ICU nurse. I know this is lightweight fiction, but it still needs to fall within believable parameters. The romance lacked chemistry. It’s worth listening to if you want to hear the complete series, particularly for a key plot line reveal.
