I didn’t see it myself, but a reader on the 3rd floor tells me Macronomicon released a book so good it crashed the Royal Road servers and had to be delisted to keep the site up. He has to limit his audiobook releases to once a year just so Amazon can handle the demand.

It is very clearly the first book of what is meant to be many, but it was a lot of fun. The characters and tone reminds me of the early arcs in Industrial Strength Magic. While the setting is a fantasy LitRPG there are cues that there’s a significant sci-fi going on in the background just beyond the character’s understanding, It hints at a larger world and a deeper story waiting to burst out when the levity gives way to something darker. (Again, a lot like Ind Str Magic)
I’m eager for the next book, and if the series keeps up this quality it might be Macro’s best yet.
