AFTER I purchased this book (using cash, not a credit), I read a bunch of reviews from different sites (wrong order, I know 😕), and none of them were very good. Since you can’t be refunded for cash purchases on this site, I decided to struggle through it, and I’m glad I did. If I hadn’t been prepared for how inexplicable and completely implausible the entire Wickham storyline was I probably would have found it too insufferable to continue after the first few chapters, but I was prepared and ended up enjoying this nonsensical version. My advice: don’t waste a credit, but buy it on sale.
