The voice acting is amazing. The various voices and accents really makes it much easier to stay submerged in the book. Sure, there are a few overlaps with same/similar voices, and I’m happy to report those are infrequent and typically only minor characters and not usually near each other in dialogue. It’s hardly noticeable. Thank you.
Furthermore, the audio, in general, is excellent. For example, the sound effects and voice reverberations match the scene. This may not sound important, but if a voice echos like it’s in a large empty room, then the scene should justify it. If it sounds like you’re sitting at a table in an echo-free recording studio but the scene is in a cave, then my brain screams, “Something is wrong here. Caves don’t sound like this,” and I can’t just enjoy the story, anymore.
For me, this is the difference between “listening to a narration” and “reliving an immersive experience.”
Also, the book itself is f-ing peak. I feel invested in the characters and even made at them with some choices. I love it!
Excellent work @MattDinniman and @SoundboothTheater, Thank You!
