Within the first chapter I was a little concerned it would just be an isekai style book, and just read like fanfiction. I was proven wrong immediately. The book is hilarious, the characters are charming yet flawed. There is a general light tone to it, but hits beats of genuine and deserved grief. The structure of the it made me wonder if the story and the achievements, would become obnoxious, but the author keeps the story varied, and the achievements, are gut busting hilarious. People have looked at me askance what I started cackling in the store because of certain achievements, unable to contain my mirth.
I will be recommending this book to any gamer friend I have.
