From the very first scene, SNACK grabbed hold and didn’t let go. Despite the past/ present format which is not my favorite, this love story made sense presented this way. The characters were engaging, and so obviously in love with one another. I adored the geek girl heroine – and that the hero totally got it. The secondary characters also added depth to the story.

With the book spanning from high school to adulthood, their varying reactions over the stages in life weren’t surprising. Their entire future altered because of a series of events back when they were younger. And finally, years later, their worlds collided again. Not easy, but obviously worth the journey. The story was most compelling because of how realistic it was.

Hickman was a good narrator, bringing the characters to life. This audiobook was a good listen and worth the credit.
