This book completely caught me off guard in the best way. Dungeon Crawler Carl is chaotic, hilarious, and way more addictive than I expected.
I went in thinking it would just be a fun, weird listen, but it’s so much more than that. The humor hits constantly, the achievement system alone had me laughing out loud, I would hit the go back 30 seconds over and over to hear them again, but it also pulls you in with the story and characters in a way that sneaks up on you.
I found myself looking forward to every chance I had to listen. It’s one of those books where you say “just one more chapter”… and suddenly a couple hours are gone.
It’s hard to explain to people who haven’t experienced it, because it’s just so unique, but it works. And it works very very really well.
I’m already excited to jump into the next book, and I don’t say that lightly. This one’s is the best book I have heard in years..
