OK, The story is well conceived and engaging. my only criticism is that at times when attempting to enforce the gravity of a scene the author would use a few to many similes or metaphors in attempts to describe it. one or two are fine, but more than that pulls the reader out of the scene as it seems a bit unnatural.
otherwise, I was there and believed it. the story kept me wanting to read further and further.
