The story was good, but there was a little bit too much telling and not enough showing. I get that this kind of story will usually end up with some info dumping, but I could’ve done without the numerous reminders of how both the main character and his brother were the only ones of his family to survive the war. (I lost count after about the fifth time.) Despite that, I did enjoy the story and will probably pick up the sequel.

Narration – liked the different accents and he jumped smoothly from one voice to another. Not sure the main narration voice is my favourite though, as it has an odd “snooty tone” for lack of a better description. I actually like his normal speaking voice better.
