The story started off with all the makings of a good story, from the MC (less so the villain, but he needed to be overly evil, I guess), to the magic system, to the world, and more. however something about the writing felt… lacking. thankfully it gradually improved throughout the story and while the actual ending wasn’t incredible, I don’t hold huge expectations for them with each installment in a long series.
also, I’m starting to understand why so many authors make their characters borderline celebate haha. because, yes, like a conservative reviewer said there’s about 3 instances where the author briefly does/says something… non binary? idk, does that apply to gender, orientation, or both/either? anyway, the MC might be bi, but you might not even notice unless you’ve been taught to be triggered by it. and yes the MC seems very thirsty lol. but neither of these things have been relevant to the story. not yet, at least. though I thankfully have zero expectations of this turning into any kind of harem or explicit harem story.
