So I LOVED the series related to this one, however this book I’m very disappointed in. There’s def humor with the crazy families, but I feel like the family and town were more of the focus of this book rather than the couple. Everything with them seemed so rushed and as a side thought to everything else going on. Most of their bonding and getting to know each other was off page besides their first meeting. For example there was a mention of the MC’s playing tug of war which would have been adorable to hear about in detail. Instead we got the statement of it, but multiple chapters of them trying to please their families and helping in the town… at the end I felt like I didn’t know the MC’s at all but I knew everything about the town and their families. I’m sincerely hoping the next book is better.
