This is more a place holder than a reliable review. Since I had only relied on the sample recording in determining my purchase, I had failed to notice that I had given low marks to a previous book by this author due to its emphasis on mercantilism, which isn’t a subject that interests me. The thing is, the narrator, Jeffrey Kafer, is actually very good and the short lead-in snippet hadn’t alerted me to the nature of the novel. After about 30 minutes in, I had realized my mistake and ended further listening.
To repeat, this is more due to my disinterest in the subject matter and a reliable critque of the story.
