I was recommended Dungeon Crawler Carl by my brother-in-law, and I’m only mad I didn’t get into this series sooner. Dinniman is an amazing author, able to craft scenes both hilarious and heart-breaking – I especially love the out-of-field one-lines from the System AI throughout the book. But Jeff Hays shines in his narration. Like a lot of people, I was shocked to learn that this wasn’t an ensemble – every voice, from Carl to Princess Donut down to the last goblin, is Jeff Hays. Dinniman sets up an awesome story, and Jeff Hays knocks it out of the park. I’m using my next credit for Book 2!
