I just finished listening to The Correspondent, and I feel completely wrung out in the best possible way. It’s beautifully crafted — intimate, thoughtful, and deeply human.

Through her letters, you slowly come to know the woman at the center of the story. At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about her. She could be sharp, private, even difficult at times. But as the story unfolded, I ended up loving her completely. She felt so real — flawed, intelligent, compassionate, restrained, lonely, funny. A truly high-quality human being.

This book quietly makes you want to be a better person. Not in a sentimental way, but in the way it reminds you how much dignity, grace, and care matter in ordinary life. By the end, I didn’t want to leave her world.

One of the most moving audiobooks I’ve listened to in a very long time.
