Enjoyed the history. This is why I look for biographies of people and presidents in particular who are not well understood. Arthur’s story is one of redemption and listening to his conscience. It took courage and integrity to go against the corrupt political machine of New York at the time. Would have been a good candidate to be included in John F Kennedy’s book Profiles in Courage.
