The dystopian book follows two groups- Ripley and her college friends and Rip’s family approximately 130 miles away. Everyone thinks the loss of power and water and strange light shows in the sky are only happening to them. The story felt real and was really entertaining. I really wanted Rip’s group to move and act quicker but that just shows that I was in to the story.

The narration was great. As this was my second listen to Kevin Pierce, I am now a new fan. Beckett Royce was initially difficult but quickly blended with the characters and proved excellent for the story. This review copy audiobook was provided free by the author/narrator/publisher on Audiobook Boom but the opinion is my own. Now I need to go get my backpack ready.
