I enjoyed the unusual nature of this novels format. Despite all chapters being separate “correspondences”… I felt as though I could picture and hear actual conversations between the characters in my imagination. The whole story unwinds quite a journey, covering many many decades. We see the vary different perceptions people can develop about a single woman… and how that woman perceives herself.
