Ever wonder what Ultramar’s finest would do in an isekai?

I came in with low to no expectations and thought the trope of unemotional space marine in a fantasy setting would get old. But I was so wrong and the story has absolutely blown me away. The writing and narration are engrossing without becoming a slog. The moments of humor don’t turn this into a cutesy buddy cop story, either. The characters are distinct and have enough depth that you become invested. And I genuinely couldn’t anticipate where the story was going, which is rare in such a well-trod genre. I really hope there’s a second one soon. You can read more on the author’s patreon, too ($4 which seems criminally cheap). Definitely give it a listen!
