Just binged Book 1 and Book 2 and yeah… this series is dope. Saw the author’s post and gave it a shot. Glad I did.

It starts with some familiar vibes from Ripple System (MC/ companion dynamic) and Mimic and Me (voice work, not over the top), but it doesn’t stay there. It really builds its own lane.
The character building is what got me. Everyone actually matters and feeds into the story, I was cheering for the new characters and ready to fight the common villains. Book 2 levels it up. A lot of antagonists and they actually feel like a real problem. Between the growth system, the citizen hierarchy, the animosity, and the true villain, there’s a lot going on and it stays fun.
If you’re picky with your credits like me, this is a safe one.
Soundbooth Theater did their thing. Big cast and I was never confused who was talking. Jeff Hays pops in, but Justin Thomas James and Jessica Threet carry it and they both rocked it.
