Very similar experience to the first book. It’s easy to follow, engaging, and often genuinely funny. The pacing works well, and it’s a comfortable listen that doesn’t require much effort to stay on track. There’s also some real drama, and the characters continue to feel more developed than you might expect from this type of story.
At the same time, the overall concept is still quite absurd, and it doesn’t feel like there’s a deeper idea behind it. It’s clearly designed as entertainment first, without much ambition to explore bigger themes.
I ended up taking a short break after this one, but I do plan to continue the series. It works well as a lighter, more relaxed listen between more serious books.
