I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to continuing the series.
There is another series of books set in the same universe that comes before this one. I hadn’t read the other series going into this one, and besides a scene near the end with some characters from the first series making cameos, it didn’t really matter.
I would categorize this book as 70% smut and 30% suspense (not mad about it). The sexy scenes were 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and very well done. Kinda made me sad that more real life gangs members don’t get down and dirty with each other 😂
Is the plot very realistic? No. Is it a good time? Yes. Turn off your brain when you read this one and just enjoy the author’s ability to build sexual tension and deliver a satisfying release 🥵
The voice performers did a pretty good job overall. The man did a particularly good job in the hot and heavy scenes. The only thing I wish is that it was done in duet narration rather than dual. I know that can be a deal breaker for some people, especially listening to a man voicing a woman’s lines. But all in all it didn’t detract too much from the book for me. Like I said, turn that brain off and you’ll be good 😉
