This was a complicated storyline yet simple in so many ways. I had a hard time with the fact that Snack’s wife had just passed and they just slipped right back to where they were so many years ago. But, I did appreciate the flashbacks to bring their story together. Understanding how they ended up where their story began helped to explain how they were able to pick up where they left off. I enjoyed getting to know these characters and their ‘just out of reach’ relationship. Emme very simply drew attention to how the twists and turns of life can change a persons path so quickly and easily.

Narration was flawless and believable. Angie did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life and pulling me into their story.

Side note: As an animal lover, I have decided I need a ‘Wookiee’ of my own after spending so much time with Wookiee.

I was given a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. This did not influence my review in any way. I would definitely spend a credit on this and future works by Emme and/or Angie. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was the length… I would have invested more of my time in these characters if there was more to hear.
