Found this after DCC, and at first struggled with the different pace and tone, but I am so so glad I gave it a chance, because what a well earned and surprising ending that was.
Dinniman is somehow amazing at making me cry, though his entire writing style is different, the deep truths and love for the flaws of humanity he conveys in his stories always shock me because they’re happening in the wildest of unhinged and pulpy scenarios.
